Each Large legal sized drawer has its own lock and (4) locking bolts so that they can be individually locked or with a flip of a lever 1 lock can lock all the drawers simultaneously (top drawer has to be slightly opened to access remaining drawer(s) in this mode. Add 1/2 to total depth due to handle. Total depth with drawers fully extended is 48 1/2 inches. The security of this safe is similar to our office safes and is designed for documents.
